The richest are stealing from the poorest (Again. Blatantly)

Henry Farrell is one of two authors of the book, Underground Empire: How America Weaponized the World Economy. Because I think Henry's a smarty pants (I had the opportunity to work with him on the book Digital Technology and Democracy Theory), I picked up a copy of Underground Empire late last year. I read through it - appreciating both the research commitment and writing good enough to make me read about financial systems. I learned a lot about how the same digital systems that are used to move money are forces for surveillance and control.
I subscribe to Henry's newsletter and am linking his edition from Thursday Feb 13 here for the rest of this post. In it he describes how #Trusk and friends are using big banks to do their dirty work - literally sucking money out of the bank accounts of nonprofits and back into treasury.
The richest man in the world is stealing from the homeless shelter, the food bank, and other nonprofits in your community.
The richest man in the world is stealing American taxpayer money that was approved for social services.
TL;DR Read Henry's post. Do what he suggests - and follow the advice he links to about how and to whom to send your very professional letter. Write a letter demanding your bank stop doing this. Be specific, clear, calm, and demand action by specific dates. Do not call and do not settle for an email customer service form. You are writing to get your complaint on the record in such a way that the bank's regulators will note the paper trail.
