World wealth...and a game to hold on to it
Here is the link to Capgemini's recently released World Wealth Report. Some factoids (and my additions in [ ]:
- 10.1 million people around the world have financial assets of more than 1 million USD [compare to proportions of people living on less than one dollar per day - 2.6 billion people live on less than $2 per day]
- World wealth grew more than 9% over 2007, total wealth is 40.7 trillion USD. [Total developing country debt in 2006 - 2.7 trillion USD.]
- Average HNW individual wealth now tops 4 million USD [ The US Census Bureau calculates the median US household income in 2005 at 46,000 USD. Worldwide average? 7,000 USD]
GenSpring has developed a game, called Shirtsleeves to Shirtsleeves, to help those families in the wealth column avoid becoming those families in the [brackets].
